Minnesota Twins midseason review
The Minnesota Twins got off to a slow start but have heated up and made their way into first place in the American League Central division.
First baseman Justin Morneau is having a tremendous season and has been supported by catcher Joe Mauer.
Second baseman Orlando Hudson has made solid contributions and proven to be a great free-agent acquisition.
Francisco Liriano continues to put his Tommy John surgery further and further behind him, establishing himself as the staff ace.
Possibly the biggest development has been the job Jon Rauch has done stepping in for Joe Nathan as the team’s closer.
